Mighty Warrior

In the middle of the silent boom I hear a war cry…a preparation in silence with only the occasional sound of single drum stroke. The army humbly kneels before their King readying their hearts……the countdown is the beating in their chest. Nothing will stop them…many things left unknown…things unsaid…mysteries never revealed but this they DO know. This battle has already been won. A Davidic nation rises to the occasion…the world is stripped away…

You easily sometimes forget you even know me….yet I am yours and you are mine. What do you have to fear? Why are these petty distractions flooding the space I have reserved for your promised peace? They have no strength to hold you as a prisoner yet you allow them to take up command. Remember who you are…you are designed to reflect me…you are that mighty warrior…begin acting on the strength that I have given….utilize your gifts, wisdom and knowledge…GO to the front lines…run with purpose in every step.

Read…there’s a reason it is refered to as “living” and “breathing”. His word never changes but what it means to you will be revealed in new ways. Listen to what His Holy Spirit is saying to you.

Pray….If you are the product of prayer as I am then you’ll understand why this is so important. If not, listen to what the word says concerning prayer and its POWER.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. Proverbs 18:21

Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in [your praying] with thanksgiving. Colossians 4: 2

Is anyone among you afflicted (ill-treated, suffering evil)? He should pray. Is anyone glad at heart? He should sing praise [to God]. James 5: 13

Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly] 1 Thessalonians 5: 17

Seek Him Relentlessly….

  1. This is a powerful article, Leesa! I’m blown away by the message God is giving through you in it. Too many times we forget not only what we have in Him to fight the good fight, but who we are in Him. For people like me, it is a constant battle, but I KNOW, as you said, that the battle has already been won. As in 2 Chronicles 20, all we need to do is STAND and see the salvation of our God.

I receive the admonition to take UP the armor; do NOT forget it or lay it down through neglect. Words are indeed more powerful than anyone realizes…they have the power to build or destroy, our choice.

  2. Leesa, I love how God has given you such a gift with words. I am always inspired by what He shares through you.
