Our Deepest Fear

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

Is is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant,

gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.

Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that

other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are born to manifest the glory of God within us.

It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously

give other people permission to do the same.

As we liberated from our fear,

our presence automatically liberates others.

~Marianne Williamson

I love this poem. It reminds me of God’s promise. Truly let the words soak in and realize that when we are obedient and don’t let fear run our lives, we can accomplish anything through our amazing Heavenly Father. Be blessed my fellow Bloggers and know we serve a great God.

  1. Thank you Nathan for posting this. We need to think of Jesus creating new things in us…new wine in new wineskins. He says He will do something new in our lives if we only allow Him to work through us!
