Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
I’m fighting for my sister..she’s just one of many. I have the luxury of a panoramic view of the scene..in silence yet again. We stand in front of each other, my hands are gripping her shoulders desperately. I shake her as if I’m trying to keep her from permanently slipping into unconsciousness. Words are flying out of my mouth…I can’t hear what I’m saying but the urgency behind them shows. She doesn’t respond. Arms hanging limp beside her body she just stares down and past the warnings to the floor….no expression. Why can’t my sister hear me? She is consumed by the prowling beast waiting to destroy my Fathers children. I begin to cry…I’m devastated…I’m furious. I won’t quit. I can’t back down. I’m living for the day to see them wake up…..I’ll walk through the darkness to find you.
This was a clear vision that God had given me just a couple of years ago and it brought a reality with it that shook me. For those of us that have been lost in the darkness we know what it’s like to be alive but feel dead. It is a terrifying place to be. Who will tell them? Who will be the example? Want to be an evangelist? Sometimes you’ll have to walk through the darkness to find them..but let me encourage you and say there’s no need to worry. You’re the salt and LIGHT and you’re covered by the blood of the Champion.
“Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…” – Isaiah 43:1-3
